This week we look to Exodus chapters 16 and 17. At this point, in the book of Exodus, God has delivered his people from their Egyptian captivity. The three sets of three plagues have been brought upon Egypt. The angel of death came upon Egypt for the 10th and final plague. The Passover occurred, and the people of Israel were commanded to go, given riches and wealth and treasure from the Egyptian people and urged to go on their way. God had redeemed a people for himself.

Make no mistake, the people of Israel are exiting slavery from Egypt, but are entering into service of God.
