Calvary Monterey is starting a new monthly ministry on the first Sunday night of every month in 2022 called Growth Nights. This night will provide us a chance to dive deeper into church-wide fellowship and intentional spiritual development. For this year, our teaching times will focus on Jesus Famous Men and Jesus Famous Women.

As many of you know, Calvary Monterey's vision statement is Jesus Famous, because we want the fame, honor, and glory of Christ to permeate every human heart. Our heartfelt prayer is for the gospel to explode in you, in us, and through us to our world.

For this reason, my teaching series for the men is called Jesus Famous Men. In each teaching, we will consider God's intention for men as found in his original man, Adam, but then fast forward to his refreshed intention for us because of the second Adam, Jesus Christ.

I am also honored to have Christina teach the women about Jesus Famous Women. It is such a joy being married to Christina, and I am fortunate that she lives out this message and loves the gospel intensely. I know her wisdom will shine through as she shares the Word with the women who attend.

The Live Gatherings

The live gatherings will be a true church experience. Each month dinner will be available prior to the gathering via food truck. The Calvary Kids team is putting together a monthly AWANA curriculum for the children. And the Calvary Middle School team will hold events for our 6-8th grade students. All other ages, from high school on up, are invited to attend the teaching times.

I will provide each teaching in audio, video, and written form after each night is complete. But I want to encourage every man and woman at Calvary to put these nights into your calendar right away. Whether you are able to attend or will catch the teachings online, I pray these studies strengthen you from within.
